Thanks for sharing your experiences at the Casa, after reading this I really want to go to that lobby and have some tea and then wander around the sanctuary. I'm thinking your came home refreshed and not travel weary after dealing with airports. Perfect trip!

That is such a neat trip you had. We love the birds here in WY because you can hear them from far off. Few trees or mountains to stop the sounds from traveling. I've always wanted to visit the old towns of AZ as well as NV but since I had a close call when I was about 13 with the heat in Phoenix I never bothered to return. Never been much for the heat even with being born and raised in So Cal. Love your pics and hope you manage to enjoy more trips no matter where they happen to be.

Where you live sounds wonderful, with all that birdsong. It's so relaxing to listen to them. There are times of the year when it's actually pretty nice in Arizona, and lots of places to explore. But exploring Wyoming would be terrific fun!

Thanks for taking me back to the Casa. What a great trip it was and such fun! The breakfasts were incredible and the daily pies nourishing! AND I took a lot of photos I can turn into watercolor pieces! I'm sure we will return!

Yes! Maybe later in the summer for the reverse migration and the MONSOONS! Whoop, whoop!

Enjoyed this great story! And the artist’s tip at the end. Gives me ideas. Learned my first new word of the day: tondo 😁
